Meetings |
| Monthly meetings are held the
third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 P.M. in the basement of the 1885
Courthouse, with the exception of November when the meeting is
scheduled on the second Wednesday. There are no meetings in December, January
and February. | | Everyone is Welcome! |

- I-69 to exit 61. Turn west on Lansing Road to second light.

2011 meetings

- March 16, 2012: Dave Smith, a local
Charlotte attorney, will speak on "The Michigan Cavalry Brigade at
Gettysburg"

- April 20, 2011:
Keith Harrison will discuss the
Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States and the Grand Army of
the Republic and their influence in the shaping of the United States and
also of the other Union and Confederate Veterans and hereditary organizations
that followed. In addition, he will discuss the current Michigan efforts in the
Civil War Sesquicentennial Commemoration.

May 18, 2011:
Jackie Adams, a charter member of Eaton County
Genealogical Society, will talk about the Quantrells, Rhinses & Carpenters.
She has published Carpenter Genealogy and plans to publish Rhines Genealogy this
summer.

Eaton County Courthouse Square, will talk about antique decorations,
and will have some wonderful examples.
