Meetings |
| Monthly meetings are held the
third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 P.M. in the basement of the 1885
Courthouse, with the exception of November when the meeting is
scheduled on the second Wednesday. There are no meetings in December, January
and February. | | Everyone is Welcome! |

- I-69 to exit 61. Turn west on Lansing Road to second light.

- March 19, 2008: A representative from the
Library of Michigan will explain how to use Heritage Quest from home. The
Library of Michigan has made this Family History site available FREE to Michigan
residents. Please come and join us at this meeting to hear how Heritage
Quest can help us find more information about our families.

- April 16, 2008:
Lori
Fox will give a program about the Military Book that Ionia County Genealogy
Society is publishing. She will explain details and overall efforts that this
project took. We will learn how the basic plan expanded to include all
persons that served in the military, who have lived in Ionia County. The public
is invited to the meeting and to visit the Eaton County Genealogy Library.

will talk about:
Researching Your Ohio Ancestors
Most of us have ancestors who settled in Ohio or passed
through Ohio on their way west. The lecture gives participants an expanded
knowledge of research facilities and finding aids to be used in locating Ohio
ancestors. There will be a discussion of some of the
lesser-known tools available to the researcher. See more about Shirley
