| Scanned Probate Packets | We have been working on a project to scan 17,000-plus probate packets that reside in a vault in the 1885 Historic Courthouse. This is a several-year project that is being done by volunteers, including some who have never scanned before. While these are not professional scans and some images are cut off, everyone works hard at doing the best job we can do. We have developed some great friendships working on this project and we have many laughs as we get together each week to work on these. The scanned images are compiled into a pdf file for each packet. The pdf files are intended to give researchers a very good idea of what is in the packet. The physical packets are still available for research. The actual pdf files are not available for these links as the total file size is too great. We do offer our members free copies of the pdf files for ancestors using Google Drive. Contact us at the ECGS Board email ecgsboard@gmail.com. to request a probate packet. |
